Fermín Sánchez de Medina López-Huertas
- Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Granada (1991), with a Special Degree Prize from the UGR.
- Ph.D. from the same university (1996), under the supervision of Dr. Zarzuelo, Dr. Gálvez and Dr. Jiménez, with a Special Doctorate Prize. Part of the thesis was conducted at the University of California at San Diego in the laboratory of Dr. Kim Barrett.
- Postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore), 1996-98, in the laboratory of Dr. Mark Donowitz.
- Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Pharmacology at the University of Granada since 2002, following the award of a reinstatement contract and hiring as an "LRU assistant".
- Director of the Office of International Projects at the University of Granada (2008-present).
- Member of the Networked Biomedical Research Centre for Liver and Digestive Diseases (CIBEREHD).
- Award from "Official Association of Pharmacists of the Province of Granada" and the Ibero-American Academy of Pharmacy (2004).
- Principal Investigator on two projects within the national plan, as well as two CENIT projects and three contracts with companies.
- Author of 40 articles, mostly located in the top quartile of their category in terms of impact factor.
