Rafael Clemente's full lecture
The exploration of the space is one of the ultimate challenges for inquisitive spirits. If in the XIX century it was Africa and in the XX century was the Poles and the highest peaks , in the XXI century the frontier is the Space. It will be our next conquest and the objective of man and science to widen horizons and look for new resources. The investigation of Space has allowed us to get to know in depth planet Earth. But , will men return to the Moon? Are we about to discover new worlds where we will be able to live? After 50 years , what has space exploration taught us about our Planet Earth?
This cycle of lectures gets together experts that will talk to us about the achievements of space exploration, a few anecdotes about its conquest, the new challenges in the study of the solar system and the new projects to conquer these spaces for man to use them.
October 8 Conference: "Why did we not return to the Moon? The unknown history of the Apollo program". The adventure of the arrival on the Moon, 50 years ago, it was one of the greatest technological achievements of humanity. It was an event that will not be ever repeated again. Even if we ever set foot in Mars we will not be able to compare it with the Apollo 11 voyage. This was an epic voyage that was nearly impossible to achieve. It is 50 years since that adventure. After Apollo nobody has ever returned to the Moon. The scientist Rafael Clemente will explain the" hidden side" of this odyssey , untold stories and anecdotes of the Apollo program and the future of the conquest of our satellite.
