Senior Researcher : Sergio Bordel Velasco
Research Centre or Institution : Universidad de Valladolid
Abstract
This project aims at developing a bacterial strain (Paracuccus denitrificans), capable of using wastes of a different polyesters as feedstocks to produce chemicals of high added value. Using a system based in the CRISPR technology the developed strain should be able to direct its metabolic fluxes towards any product of interest by transforming it with a single plasmid, which will be designed specifically to obtain any target product desired.
