2021 Scientific Report

The Ramón Areces Foundation coordinates its Research Support Programs through national competitions that are open to teams from the whole national territory.   

In the field of Life and Matter Sciences, every two years the Foundation calls on the Spanish scientific community to present projects of special relevance in certain scientific areas that require priority attention due to their potential impact on the progress of our country and the improvement of health. 

In the field of Social Sciences, competitions are held annually.  The mission of these grants is to support postdoctoral research by young scientists under the age of 40 at Spanish research centres and universities. With this, the Foundation helps the transition of these researchers from a more junior stage to one of scientific consolidation, allowing them to independently direct their lines of research and form their own teams.
