  • Programme

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists recently announced that their Doomsday Clock was the closest ever to global catastrophe, represented by midnight on their 24 hour clock. The war in Ukraine, global climate change, tensions in the Far East between China and Taiwan, North Korean military posturing and continued conflict in the Middle East with a retrenched Iran, global security is under significant pressure.

This seminar will examine the historical build-up, long and short term, to the current diplomatic and international crises, how they co-relate and what diplomatic and economic policies are resolving or worsening areas of heightened tensions.
