Would you like to get a bit closer to a Nobel Prize laureate? Welcome to this exclusive live conversation with two laureates investigating their approach to scientific exploration and the role that imagination plays in their work.

Ardem Patapoutian and Hartmut Michel both followed unexpected roads to research. Join the conversation as we delve into their attitudes to diversity, curiosity, asking big questions, success and failure, and find out how they found their individual paths to the Nobel Prize. Discussing the implications of Hartmut Michel’s research for the future of solar energy will also help us dig into how we transform our societies in the light of our sustainable challenges.

The Nobel Prize laureates Ardem Patapoutian, physiology or medicine 2021, and Hartmut Michel, chemistry 1988, are both featured in the current Nobel Prize Conversations podcast season from nobelprize.org.
