Humanities activities in 2021

In 2021 the Ramón Areces Foundation held 23 events in the field of Humanities.

The American philosopher Michael Sandel discussed the tyranny of merit. Together with the Spanish Commission of Military History, the Military History of Spain was addressed. In a cycle with the Royal Academy of History we delve into the Spain of Alfonso XIII coinciding with the centenary of the assassination of Eduardo Dato. In collaboration with the Deliberar Foundation and the Free College of Emeritus we bring together philosophers, writers, and sociologists to reflect on some aspects of human and social relations. We discussed the contributions of Jew, Arab and Spanish cultures to modern science, the cultural profile in Madrid in the 20th century, and the Spanish cultural heritage.
