In 2021, the Ramón Areces Foundation scheduled 32 activities in the field of Life and Matter Sciences. Several aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic were addressed; DNA vaccines; emerging infectious diseases; the future of Mathematics; particle physics; Mars exploration; the clinical genetic specialty and ALS; among other topics.
Activities were conducted in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel; the Spanish Royal Academy for Exact, Physics and Natural Sciences; the Spanish Royal Academy of Pharmacy, the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Autonomous University of Barcelona Foundation; Luzon; the Institute of Theoretical Physics (UAM-CSIC), Chair July Palaces of the CSIC; the Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; the Spanish Royal Society for Mathematics; Centre for Astrobiology (CSIC-INTA), Spanish Scientists in Belgium; the Association of Spanish Scientists in the Netherlands; Springer Nature; Chair Solutex of the University of Zaragoza; the Corpuscular Physics Institute; the Spanish Association of Human Genetics and the Club Última Hora of Palma de Mallorca.
