Contemporary revolutions that changed the world

This colloquium addressed two revolutions. The Bolshevik revolution of 1917, with the creation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (the USSR), whose repercussions are difficult to exaggerate and in the most recent anti-colonial revolutions from which some Asian countries and most of those in Africa emerged.

It meant the end of imperialism, the end of the domination of the European powers over an immense part of the world.
