The contributions of jew, arab and spanish cultures to modern science

The Ramón Areces Foundation, faithful to its vocation of supporting Science, has been deepening its analysis and reflection on the current problems of science (lately the treatment of the different aspects of COVID-19), and the prospects that scientific research holds for the future.

It also seemed appropriate to refer to the past of science and to all those individuals and national groups that have stood out in the progress of scientific knowledge. It is worth noting the significant contribution that Jew, Arab and Spanish cultures have made to science development. José Manuel Sánchez Ron, from the Autonomous University of Madrid and academician of the Royal Spanish Academy, intervened as coordinator of the series and moderator in the three sessions..
