At the International Symposium Sustainable technologies that will change the world, we were able to experience first-hand the inventions and sustainable technology solutions developed by Professor Ian Hunter, an award-winning inventor, scientist, entrepreneur and MIT Professor. These disruptive innovations aim to change the world and improve humanity. The CEOs of the companies Professor Hunter co-founded joined him. These companies originated from his researches such as painless needle-free injections, in-wheel propulsion systems, solar powered cars, and carbon-based batteries Dr. Lynette Jones discussed a new approach to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.

Spain, like the rest of the world, is facing a rapid energy transition. International climate talks started three decades ago and, according to the commitments of the EU, decarbonization of the economy should be almost complete in about three decades. We are about halfway, and it is, therefore, a good moment to take stock and to decide our own path: Should Spain be a follower in the decarbonization process? Or should we try to lead it? A group of experts discussed this topic at the round table Energy transition in Spain: followers or leaders?.
