The main objective of this project is to create the Ciencia-En-Claro tool, a virtual assistant in Spanish for writing scientific-informative texts. The assistant will apply advanced artificial intelligence techniques to review highly specialized texts. The purpose of Ciencia-En-Claro is to support scientists and science communicators during the writing process of their texts in Spanish to enhance their quality, coherence, and accessibility for the general public. The project tackles challenges such as lexical and syntactic simplification, textual-level revision, analysis of the multimodal dimension of language, and evaluation of text readability. All this is aimed at improving the outcomes of scientific-informative texts written in Spanish, thereby contributing to clear and inclusive communication and the democratization of access to scientific knowledge in the Spanish-speaking world.

Ciencia-En-Claro, in its BETA version, is intended to make suggestions for improving text clarity, detect the absence of inclusive language in certain passages, provide synonyms and stylistic variations, assist with text coherence and cohesion, identify grammatical and spelling errors, propose sentence structure improvements, detect inconsistencies in style, suggest text reductions in overly long paragraphs, adjust bibliographies and citations in various formats, recommend the inclusion of illustrative examples, case studies, graphics, or images, offer metalinguistic explanations for the suggested corrections, and provide links to additional resources for improving specific writing skills.
